This week, Vernon brings you a talk he had with the incomparable Billy Cox, friend and collaborator of Jimi Hendrix. Billy sheds a little light on getting to know Jimi, working with Band of Gypsys, and what it was like to be on stage with Jimi at Woodstock. For the first time in the history of the show, all three FNGTAC staff-members recorded this one together in the same room. Scheduling was a bitch so don't get used to it, but we had a good time nonetheless. This week's topics—hurricanes, elections, holodecks, Internet porn, Pixar, Star Wars and gun printers. You know how we do. Follow us on Twitter: @WKamauBell @Vurnt22 @AGThornton @FNGTAC @TotallyBiasedFX |

Our latest FNGTAC was recorded just as Hurricane Sandy was closing in on NYC, so after some updating, Vernon & Kamau discuss the controversy over Zoe Saldana being cast as Nina Simone in an upcoming biopic. This of course gives way to a larger conversation about ethnicity, casting, James Bond and Matt Damon—hurricane or not, this is still the FNGTAC. Honestly, very little of this episode actually has anything to do with the title but... whatever. This week, Vernon and Kamau mostly discuss everyone's new favorite hologram—move over Princess Leia and will.i.am—Tupac "I Would Never Have Approved of This" Shakur. We've been away for awhile, but I promise (promise) that it'll all be worth the hassle within the next few weeks. Big changes are in store for the FNGTAC, one of which includes breaking our dependence on Skype to facilitate the recordings. The whole gang will be converging on New York City soon and taking advantage of that in a number of ways, so your patience will be heavily rewarded very, very soon. Come say 'hi:' FNGTAC.com @Vurnt22 @WKamauBell @AGThornton |

Happy Easter or Passover or The Regular Weekend or whatever else you prefer to call today—we're all inclusive at the FNGTAC. This week, Kamau and Vernon mainly discuss the now-official pairing of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, (great couple or THE GREATEST couple? You decide) before moving onto yet another absurd decision from the U.S. Supreme court. Did you know that law enforcement is now entitled to perform a strip-search on any individual arrested or detained for any reason, no matter how minor the charge? No probable cause? No problem! "I felt like it" is apparently probable cause now... Vernon & Kamau are on Facebook and we're all on Twitter: @Vurnt22 @WKamauBell @AGThornton Follow us. We're cool. |

Warning: you'll probably need to keep an eye on the volume knob for this one becuase it was recorded in a different way than usual, but it's worth it. No spoilers: this is better if you go in cold. @Vurnt22 @WKamauBell* @AGThornton *Before he gets too famous to answer your tweets, which should be any day now.

It should come as no surpirse that we open this week's episode by discussing the tragic events surrounding the truly senseless killing of 17-year-old Floridian Trayvon Martin. I'm sure you're already familiar with the basics of the case, so I'll leave the elaboration to Vernon and Kamau (who elaborate quite well). Moving on, our glorious leaders go on to discuss the public's recent fascination with Joseph Kony and how it ties into the controversy surround Mike Daisy's "report" on working conditions at Apple factories on "The American Life." The throughline is much stronger than you'd suspect... |
